the assistance of An Garda Siochana pursuant to s.13(3) MHA 2001<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>In broad terms the process is as follows;<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team will present to the individuals address after receiving the forms as required by the Mental Health Act, 2001.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team will meet with the applicant\/ Authorised Officer and confirm the identity of the individual requiring the service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Risk will be assessed by the Clinical Director prior to the initiation of the assisted admission\/return and again at the site of the assisted admission\/return.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The individual will then be transported to the Approved Centre for assessment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the admission procedure, the team will stand down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The process will be completed in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allied Admissions operate a policy of open disclosure and all incidents have to be reported on, including near misses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The standard and ethos of an assisted admission is that it is conducted in a sensitive manner and the dignity of the individual is protected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will endeavour to ensure the process is planned in advance with the relevant stakeholders, in an emergency situation Allied Admissions are in a position to offer this service on an as-and-when-required\u00a0 basis within 24 hours or less.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the initial contact with the service right through the admission, contact will be maintained with the team in charge of the Assisted Admission of the Approved Due to the highly sensitive nature of this service the Allied Admissions team ensures the process is conducted in a professional, empathetic manner ensuring the dignity and privacy of the person is protected at all times.<\/p>\n<p>The Team<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our allied Admissions team abide by their professional codes of practice to ensure each admission runs smoothly and respectfully. The service is provided as required within 24 hours or less, depending on the needs of the person. The team will be dispatched following a request by the Clinical Director of the Approved Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team is psychiatric nurse led and is made up of specially trained members with at least one female member.
